100% local. 100% privacy. ScamLens analyses your content on your device. We do not collect your photos, clipboard contents, screenshots or scanned messages, and we run no remote telemetry.

1. Data processed on your device
When you scan content, ScamLens processes the text, photo, screenshot or clipboard content you provide using text heuristics, a BERT-base neural transformer and Vision OCR. This runs on the Apple Neural Engine and local CPU. No external API calls are made and the App can work offline.
2. Data we do not collect
- We do not upload or receive your photos, screenshots, clipboard contents or scanned messages.
- We do not use remote telemetry, analytics or advertising trackers inside the App.
- We do not require an account, and we do not sell or share personal data.
3. Local storage
Up to 30 recent checking events and photos are stored in the App's local sandbox on your device so you can review them. They are never saved to your Apple Photos library and are not transmitted to us. You can remove them by clearing history in the App or by deleting the App, which removes its sandbox data.
4. Permissions
The App may request camera or photo-picker access to let you scan a photo or screenshot you choose, and may read the clipboard when you paste content for analysis. Permissions are used only for on-device analysis and can be revoked in your device settings.
5. This website
This website is static and does not set cookies or run analytics. Our hosting provider and content delivery network may process standard technical data (such as IP address and request logs) to deliver and secure the site. If you email us, we will use your address only to reply.
6. Third-party links
Links to other sites (for example App I Want or the App Store) are governed by those sites' own policies.
7. Security
Because data stays on your device, its security depends on your device's protections (passcode, encryption, OS updates). No system is perfectly secure, and ScamLens is a sandbox app used at your own risk.
8. Your rights
As we do not collect or store your scanned data on our servers, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For any request, contact us below.
9. Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the date above. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
